Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Prontoshoot AI product photography, free tools, and e-commerce image optimization.
General Product Photography
Do I need a fancy camera for Prontoshoot?
No. Clear, well-lit phone photos work great. As long as your image shows the product clearly with decent lighting, Prontoshoot can transform it into professional product photography.
Will the generated images look real?
Yes. We stage your product on people or in natural settings designed to pass the "would I buy this?" test. Our AI generates realistic product photographs suitable for e-commerce listings and advertising.
What if my photo isn't good enough?
We'll flag it and show you how to fix lighting fast. Most issues can be improved by using better lighting or trying a different photo angle with minimal background distractions.
Do I own the images?
Yes—use them for ads, store listings, and social media. You retain full ownership of the generated images.
Can I cancel anytime?
Absolutely. Keep access through the end of your billing cycle. There are no long-term commitments.
Why are there no refunds after image generation?
Once product images are generated, we cannot offer refunds because running AI models incurs real computational costs that cannot be recovered. Each generation uses expensive GPU processing power through our AI providers. However, we're confident in our service quality and offer sample images on our website so you can see the expected results before purchasing.
What if the AI makes mistakes or the results aren't perfect?
AI product photography can sometimes produce unexpected results. Most issues can be improved by using better lighting or trying a different photo angle. We recommend using clear, well-lit photos with minimal background distractions. If you're not satisfied with a generation, try uploading a better quality photo and generating again.
How long are my images stored?
Generated product image records/URLs are removed from your Prontoshoot account after 48 hours for privacy and storage management. Image generation and temporary storage are handled by our provider, FAL.ai, which usually retains generated assets for approximately 7 days. We strongly recommend downloading your images immediately after generation.
How long does it take to generate an image?
Most images are generated within seconds to a few minutes. Speed depends on the photo size and current AI server load.
Does it work with any type of product?
Yes, you can use it for clothing, accessories, home decor, electronics, and more. We recommend clear, well-centered photos for best results.
Are my photos private?
Yes. Your photos are processed securely and only you have access to the results in your account. Images are automatically deleted after the temporary storage period.

It's widely used by clothing brands to showcase garments professionally. With Prontoshoot, you can create this effect instantly using AI—no physical mannequin or Photoshop skills required.
Can I use generated images for commercial purposes?
Yes, all generated images can be used in ads, social media, product listings, and marketing materials. The only limit is that you cannot resell the images as a standalone service.
Free Tools
Background Remover
Is the background remover really free?
Yes, this background remover is completely free with no signup required. You can remove backgrounds from up to 10 images at once. All processing happens in your browser, so your images remain private and never get uploaded to our servers.
How does the AI background removal work?
Our tool uses advanced machine learning models that run directly in your browser. The AI analyzes each image, identifies the subject (person, product, or object), and automatically separates it from the background. The result is a transparent PNG image with clean edges.
What image formats are supported for background removal?
The background remover accepts all common image formats including JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP. You can upload images up to 15MB in size. The output is always a transparent PNG file, which works perfectly for e-commerce listings and graphic design.
Image Compressor
How does online image compression work?
Our image compressor uses your browser's built-in Canvas API to re-encode images at a lower quality level. For JPEG and WebP, the quality parameter controls the compression ratio. Lower quality means smaller files but more visual artifacts. A quality of 75-85% is usually ideal for web use — significantly smaller files with virtually no visible difference.
Which image format gives the smallest file size?
AVIF offers the best compression ratio, typically 30-50% smaller than JPEG at the same visual quality. WebP is the next best, about 25-35% smaller than JPEG. However, AVIF browser support is newer. For maximum compatibility, use WebP. For legacy support, use JPEG.
What quality setting should I use for e-commerce images?
For Amazon and other marketplace listings, use JPEG at 80-85% quality. This maintains sharp product details while keeping file sizes under the 10MB limit. For website product pages, WebP at 75% quality offers the best balance of size and quality. For email campaigns, aim for under 500KB per image.
Image Upscaler
What is AI image upscaling?
AI image upscaling uses machine learning models to intelligently enhance image resolution and quality. Unlike traditional upscaling that just stretches pixels, AI upscalers analyze image content to add realistic details, sharpen edges, and improve clarity.
Is my data private when using the image upscaler?
Yes, 100% private. All image processing happens locally in your browser. Your images never leave your device, ensuring complete privacy and security. No uploads, no tracking, no data collection.
Amazon Image Requirements
What size should Amazon product images be?
Amazon recommends 2000x2000 pixels for main product images and at least 1000x1000 pixels for additional images. Images must be at least 1000px on the longest side for zoom functionality.
Why do my Amazon images keep getting rejected?
Common rejection reasons include: images smaller than 1000px (no zoom capability), non-white backgrounds on main images (must be pure white RGB 255,255,255), file size over 10MB, wrong file format, or product not filling at least 85% of the frame. Use our Amazon Image Validator to check all requirements before uploading.
Does my Amazon main image need a white background?
Yes, Amazon main images must have a pure white background with RGB values of exactly 255, 255, 255. Even slight variations like RGB 250,250,250 can cause listing suppression. Secondary images can have colored or textured backgrounds, but the main image must be pure white.
